The benefits of these systems include:
| • |
Minimal damage – virtually no damage to buildings and equipment , and easy to clean up |
| • |
Environmentally responsible – using much less water than traditional sprinkler systems |
| • |
Safe – non-toxic and completely harmless to people
|
| • |
Economical – no expensive gases, inexpensive to refill |
| • |
Flexible – does not required a sealed space to be effective |
Both systems deliver a fire suppressing effect via a fine mist, which uses very little water, and provide an effective alternative to sprinkler systems in many cases. High pressure systems offer greater coverage and smaller droplets for improved performance in operation. They require pressurised cylinders or a storage tank and pump. Low pressure systems are usually lower cost, and easier to install and maintain.
